Angus MacDonald in Aberdeen ‘give the fans what they want’ Mattie Pollock transfer plea

Angus MacDonald in Aberdeen ‘give the fans what they want’ Mattie Pollock transfer plea

Angus MacDonald has told Mattie Pollock to get back up the road and rejoin the Dons in a transfer plea on Twitter as the centre-back looks to get the band back together.

The duo plus Liam Scales were influential in helping Aberdeen secure European football, stringing together an outstanding run of form under Barry Robson following the former Scotland international’s arrival.

But MacDonald currently remains the only one of the three still on the books at Pittodrie after he extended his stay until 2025, with Pollock returning to Watford and Scales heading back to Celtic at the end of their loan deals.

Fans have been highly impressed with the trio, with pleas for Pollock and Scales to return growing as the transfer window rumbles on, and MacDonald has turned on his charm to try and lure his fellow Englishman back to the Granite City.

Teasing Pollock on Twitter – who posted training snaps from Watford’s pre-season preparations – MacDonald simply wrote: “White boots, you’ve changed” with Pollock claiming he wore “Yellow for special occasions.”

That prompted one Dons fan to suggest wearing yellow boots for one special occasion, adding “Like your return to Pittodrie.”
