2023 US Open Odds, Predictions: Favorites, Picks & Tiger Woods Odds

The PGA Championship may be awarded on Sunday, but the PGA Tour continues.

In a few weeks, the US Open, the third major tournament, will take place in Los Angeles.

Let’s take a look at the latest tournament information, odds, field and more!

  • Dates US Open 2023: June 15-18
  • Class: Los Angeles Country Club

Looking back on last year

Matt Fitzpatrick is the defending champion and won the 2022 US Open at The Country Club in Brookline, Massachusetts.

Fitzpatrick finished 6-under-par 274 for his first major title. After Fitzpatrick parried the 72nd hole, Will Zalatoris had a chance to send the tournament to a playoff, but his 4-yard birdie putt slid past the left side of the hole to give Fitzpatrick a one-time win.

Scott Scheffler tied for second place with Zalatoris at 5-under-par 275. Hideki Matsuyama finished fourth at 3-under 277. Rory McIlroy And Colin Morikawa tied for fifth place with 2-under 278.

About the course

Not only is this the first time the Los Angeles Country Club has hosted the US Open, but it is only the second time in its 123-year history that the tournament has been played in the Los Angeles area.

The last time the US Open was held in the Los Angeles area was in 1948 at the Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades.

In addition, the Los Angeles Country Club has not hosted a PGA Tour event since 1940. It hosted the Los Angeles Open five times, which is now the Genesis Invitational.

There are two 18-hole courses at the country club, the North Course and the South Course. The tournament is played on the par 70 North Course, which is 7,200 meters long.

Who are the US Open favourites?

Jon Rahm and Scottie Scheffler, the last two Masters winners, are the co-gambling favorites to win the US Open at FOX Bet.

Rahm (Masters 2023) and Scheffler (Masters 2022) each have odds of +900 (bet $10 to win $100 in total).

Four-time main champ Rory McIlroy has the third-best odds of +1000.

What about Tiger Woods?

Tiger Woods has great chances to win the US Open. He is listed with +8000 odds on FOX Bet.

However, it is unknown if the 15-time Major champion will play in the US Open.

Woods made the cut at the Masters in April, but retired with 29 holes to go. After withdrawing from the Masters due to pain, Woods underwent subtalar fusion procedure to address post-traumatic arthritis in his ankle, according to his Twitter account.

He did not play in the 2023 PGA Championship due to ankle surgery.
