Clayton-Le-Moors takes to the water as 400 rock up for free community sports and creative event

More than 400 people took part in a free community sports and creative event at Mercer Park in Clayton-Le-Moors.

On offer were football, boxing, bowls, canoeing, and crafts as part of the ‘Let’s Move Hyndburn’ initiative. Accrington Stanley Community Trust provided football skills and mini games, utilising the newly marked out 5-a-side pitch,

Boxing in the park for young people and adults was on offer from Clayton Amateur Boxing Club. Super Slow Way provided canoeing sessions on the canal.

Mercer Park Bowling Club was bustling with activity, supporting bowlers of all ages and introducing the game to newcomers.
