Devon death and funeral notices: Heartfelt tribute to much-loved dad who died aged 43

This week’s death and funeral notices include more than 90 heartfelt tributes to people from Devon who have died recently. Much-loved dad Alan Floyd from Morebath is among them. His family say he will be “dearly missed by all of his family and friends” after he died at the age of 43 earlier this month.

As part of a longstanding tradition in local media, we announce the deaths of cherished members of our community every week. In last week’s death and funeral notices, more than 80 tributes were left by loved ones, including for Ann Retallick, a former cook at Abbey School in Torquay whose family say she will be “sadly missed and lovingly remembered”.

Peacefully passed away after a lifelong struggle with illness on the 27th May 2023, surrounded by her family Sorely missed, never forgotten. (Rob) Passed away peacefully at North Devon District Hospital on the 31st May 2023 aged 75 years. He will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him. Much Loved Husband and Father and a supportive friend. Funeral service to be held at North Devon Crematorium on 17th July 2023 at 11am. Family flowers only.
