Fans really can’t decide whether they love or hate Watford’s new home kit for 2023/24 season, revealed by the club on Friday.

The shirt is yellow with black diagonal stripes etched across the front. The shirt is the fourth designed by Kelme after a four-year agreement with the club began for the 2020/21 campaign.

Shop.watfordfc.com will begin taking pre-orders on Friday, June 30.

The new kit’s price will be announced when the pre-sale begins next week.

If fans so desire, the club has confirmed that they can purchase the shirt without the Mr. Q logo.

CLUB STATEMENT:

Watford FC is proud to reveal the club’s hotly-anticipated home kit for the 2023/24 season, which will be available to purchase online and in-store from Friday July 7.

For the fourth season running, the Hornets have combined with Kelme to create a stunning, bespoke design. Featuring diagonal etched stripes this term, the black detail is scratched away, letting the Watford yellow shine through.

Similar to Kelme’s first Watford kit in 2020/21, the new shirt features a black raglan sleeve with a yellow back. Under-arm panels give the shirt a fitted feel and the jacquard knit fabric is light and breathable, meaning it will look great from the pitch to the street.

Available in sizes from 1-2 years in mini kit all the way up to 4XL, the shirt features the hornet logo on the back neck, while once again the club’s WE values are imprinted in the half-moon inside the shirt.

Men’s and women’s shirts feature Mr Q and Corpay sponsor branding for the authentic match look, but for the first time all shirts will be available to purchase without sponsors for those who prefer.

@MAshby1001: Not enough yellow

@HJClarke95: Option to purchase without the Sponsor 👏 W kit

@AmHornet: Awful kit 👎🏻

@FtblJosh9: Don’t think it’s bad, awful sponsor tho

@andynwoodard: Is this a joke?

@MrAziizz: Could you have made the sponsor any bigger?

@cmhornet: I think it’s great, better than your generic Adidas and Nike templates

@eastcoteonion: It COULD have been good, but too much black.

@LazarusUorns: Now that is a sick kit

@jfwfc: Swap the yellow and black and that would be perfection

@eherbie__: It’s the worst kit of all time 😭

@MalekWFC_: Quite decent tbf

@marston848: For the first time in years this is really bad

@Tomzy87: It’s a beautiful and stylish kit. Shame our fan base always have something to moan about “needs more yellow” or “no red shorts again”. Take a day off 🤦🏼‍♂️
