Brian George Martin
Brian George Martin, of Fern Hill House Care Home, passed away on June 2, aged 87 years.
Brian was a plumber and was self-employed for many years.
He retired from J & J Ormerod, where he worked as a plumber (maintenance). In his early years he worked at Lancashire Sock Shop and later for the NHS at various hospitals as a plumber.
Brian enjoyed football, cricket and watching wildlife programmes.
He liked to play bowls at Bacup Park.
Brian was married to Doreen who passed away a year ago. He leaves behind his daughter Sylvia, son-in-law Trevor, son Jason, grandchildren Thomas, Wayne, Chris and his partner Tash.
Great-grandchildren Spencer, Jensen, Niamh, Aoife, Erin.
A service will be held on June 26 at Accrington Crematorium at 1pm, conducted by Cathy Unsworth. Donations to WWF and Dementia UK.

Irene Peel
Mrs Irene Peel passed away May 28, aged 88.
She was the daughter of the late James Henry and Mary Ratcliffe and the loving mother of the late Janet Lorraine, the loving sister of Jenny, the loving partner of the late Ken.
She was a loving auntie to Stephen, Vanessa, Nathan, Donna and Amanda, and great auntie to Jade, Selene, Scott, Zack and Mateo, and a great-great auntie.
Irene was born and raised in Haslingden. She worked in the cotton mills and retired as a weaver.
Irene had a love of art, was a regular visitor to the library, enjoyed going to ‘knit & natter’ and also to veterans in the community (VIC).
She was a member of the IDL in her younger years. Irene also enjoyed holidays with her family.
She will be dearly missed, but always remembered.
Funeral to take place on Tuesday, June 20 at St James Church, Haslingden at 11am.

Gordon Booth
Gordon Booth passed away peacefully at home, on June 7, with his four daughters, Sylvia, Colette, Janet and Wendy by his side.
He was married to the late Doreen for many years, besides his daughters, he leaves sons-in-law, seven grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, two brothers and a sister.
Gordon lived in Bacup most of his life before moving to Rawtenstall, but his heart was left in Bacup.
He worked at Smith and Nephew Textiles for many years before retiring. He loved his garden and enjoyed helping neighbours with their gardens and doing odd jobs for them. He also travelled abroad with his wife to many countries.
Reverend Derek Allen will officiate at the Service at Burnley Crematorium on Monday, June 19 at 3.15pm.

Thomas Galbraith
Thomas Galbraith passed away on June 8, aged 82 at Blackburn Royal.
Much loved father of Karl, Jason, Thomas, Maria, Linda and Mark.
Donations in memory of Thomas are welcomed for the Royal British Legion. His funeral is to take place on Friday, June, 23 at 11am at St Marie’s, Haslingden.
