Hampshire Business Awards to celebrate county’s economic growth drivers

The Business Magazine, in partnership with Hampshire County Council and headline sponsor Farnborough Airport, has launched The Hampshire Business Awards to celebrate business success in the region.

The event will be held at Farnborough International Exhibition & Conference Centre on November 30 and will be attended by entrepreneurs, business leaders, venture capitalists and policymakers. 

Chief Executive Officer of The Business Magazine, Richard Thompson, said: “We’re very excited to have an opportunity to celebrate the excellent businesses and initiatives that we see in Hampshire. We’ve tried to create awards categories that can appeal to most businesses in the region, and it’s free to enter.

“The innovation, determination and ingenuity of Hampshire’s business community is something that we see at The Business Magazine day in and day out, through our publications and events programmes, therefore it is great to be able to create a platform that recognises the people who are driving change.

“There will be some categories that celebrate business initiatives in ESG, Equality, Diversity and Inclusivity as well categories celebrating growth; with a limited number of sponsor funded tables for specific categories that help ensure businesses of all sizes can be represented at the awards”

Nominations for the awards are now open with a closing date set for September 15.

Hampshire is home to world class educational establishments, rich natural assets, innovation and cutting edge technology.

It is also home to the Port of Southampton which gives companies in the region easy access to global trade routes while the Royal Navy, which is based in Portsmouth, is reliant on local supply chains to power the country’s naval fleet.

The Business Awards aim to recognise the people, companies and other organisations behind all that makes Hampshire a great place to do business – celebrating their contribution to driving sustainable growth and attracting national and international investment to our region.”

Sponsors of the awards include Farnborough Airport as headline sponsors, with aerospace company Gulfstream, accountancy firm Menzies, energy supplier Utilita, infrastructure company Milestone Infrastructure, legal firm Herrington Carmichael, fashion retailer FatFace, Hampshire Chamber of Commerce and Hampshire County Council.
