Inside pub after £230k revamp offering ‘Wine Wednesdays’ and £10 bottle of fizz

A Black Country pub is set to reopen its doors this month after a gleaming £230,000 revamp. The County on Walsall Street in Willenhall will throw open its doors on Friday, June 23, having undergone a complete transformation inside.

There will be brand-new furniture, floor and soft furnishing throughout. The pub’s front and back bars have been revamped and there is a new pool and darts area inside its function room, complete with a brand-new sound system.

Meanwhile, there is new-signage, lighting and furniture in the pub’s garden, which has also been transformed. On the opening night next week, there will be a live DJ and on Saturday there will be karaoke and live music from artist, Jo Safina.

The County will be offering a wide range of drinks offers. This includes Wine Wednesday where customers can get £2 off a bottle, Fizz Friday offering customers a bottle of fizz for £10, along with cocktails, bottle and shot deals throughout the week.

David Robins, manager of the pub, said: “The pub looks fantastic, and I can’t believe the transformation. I’m really excited to get behind the bar, welcome back all the customers and support the local community.

“I will be starting off by collecting food for a local food bank and donations to get a defibrillator installed. Pubs are the hub of their community, and I can’t wait to start this new adventure.”
