Jordan Wyatt: Cash to be raised for bereaved children of much-loved Exeter dad
A Devon football team is raising cash for the bereaved children of Exeter dad Jordan Wyatt, found dead in the River Exe on June 1.
Torquay United football team has announced they will hold a fundraising auction in July. It will be held in Boots & Laces at 7pm on Friday July 21.
Jordan’s family has close ties with the football club with his sister Danni being the women’s team captain and their HerGameToo ambassador as well as his father Alan being the women’s head coach. Both of them are hugely popular figures in the club, a spokesperson said.
In the announcement, a spokesperson said: “It was with deep sadness that the Club learned of Jordan’s passing recently.
“Although our sympathies are extended to all of Jordan’s family and friends, the Club’s thoughts are particularly with his two young children at this very sad and difficult time. After consultation with the Wyatt family, it has therefore been decided that all monies raised at this event will go directly towards safeguarding their future, with the funds paid into a Trust, from which they can both benefit.”

Further details about the event, including the items due to be auctioned, will be announced later by the club.
Jordan Wyatt, who was 31, was tragically found dead by police in the River Exe on June 1 after going missing on 29 May. Since then a fundraiser has been started to aid the family’s funeral costs and tributes about the Exeter dad of two have poured in.
Jordan was described as a much-loved, vibrant and enthusiastic man. His sister Danni also tweeted on the day he was found: “please stand down all searches, we have found my beautiful big brother. Until we meet again, I love you. Forever 31”
The fundraiser has now raised over £8,000 from 307 donations alongside more tributes and touching messages for the family. Its target was only £5,000.
The details on the fundraiser read: “Jordan was a loved guy and the size of his search is testament to this. He was a father to Mason and Scarlett, a partner to Kaz, a brother and a loved son.
“He was passionate about his work as a Door Supervisor and Security Guard which allowed him to meet so many people and make so many memories over many years and in different counties.
“He will be so missed by many. Please support us in his final End of Shift where he closes his final doors.
“All funds will go to his funeral and any remainder will go in to trust for his children who was his life! Thank You for your support in advance.”
