Liverpool line up bargain move for £100m-rated midfielder

Liverpool are keen to get deals done early this summer, with two Italy-based midfielders on their radar as the Reds look to bag a former Man Utd target for a knockdown fee…

LIVERPOOL WANT THREE DEALS DONE QUICKLY
So that’s it. The Premier League season is done. Now, it’s business time. And Jurgen Klopp is wearing his business socks.

Liverpool have a massive summer ahead of them and the word is, they want to get cracking as soon as possible. According to Football Insider, they want three deals done before the end of June.

Apparently, the Reds are prioritising moves for central midfielders, a central defender and a right-back. A back-up keeper is also being hunted, with Caoimhin Kelleher having seemingly played his last game for the club in the daft 4-4 draw at Southampton on Sunday.

Klopp wants at least three of those objectives achieved before his squad returns for pre-season. Alexis Mac Allister is high on the list and the Brighton midfielder cut an emotional figure after what is expected to be his final appearance for the Seagulls at Villa.

REDS EYE SERIE A STARS
Klopp wants midfielders capable of slotting straight into his first XI and there are a couple who fit the bill in Serie A…

Liverpool have been linked with Nicolo Barella for months, though they will have to remain patient while the Inter Milan midfielder prepares for the Champions League final on June 10. And, if the 26-year-old won’t come cheap. Calciomercato says the Reds will have to fork out £86.8million to land the Italy star.

Sergej Milinkovic-Savic has been valued even higher at various points over the last five years, in which time Manchester United have been sniffing around the Serbian. But Calciomercatoweb suggests the Lazio midfielder could be available to Liverpool for £22.5million this summer when he enters the final year of his contract in Rome, with no sign of a renewal on the horizon.

NEWCASTLE RIVAL MAN UTD FOR NAPOLI DEFENDER
Newcastle are also preparing for a huge summer after finishing in the top four and sealing their return to the Champions League.

The Magpies are reported to have joined the race to sign Kim Min-jae, who is also a target for Manchester United. The South Korea defender is said to be available for £51million during a two-week window this summer, owing to a clause in his contract at Napoli. The Red Devils have been favourites to win the race but Fichajes says Newcastle have emerged as genuine contenders.

Eddie Howe must also retain the assets he already has. The Times says Barcelona want to sign Bruno Guimaraes this summer but the Catalans acknowledge that it might take £87million to tempt Newcastle into selling the Brazil midfielder.
