Louise Redknapp issues one word verdict on Liverpool as excited fans flock to HMV signing

Louise Redknapp was full of praise for Liverpool as she returned to the city.

The 48-year-old popstar arrived at HMV in Williamson Square to sign copies of her new Greatest Hits album. Louise lived in the city in the 90s with former husband, Jamie Redknapp, and she revealed she still considers Merseyside “home”.

She told the ECHO: “I lived here for a long time so it’s a little bit of a home from home. It means a lot to me.

“It’s a city that I always feel very comfortable coming back to. It was lovely to be here and the fans were absolutely amazing. There was lots of support so the pleasure was all mine.”

Louise swooned over the crowds that flocked to the record shop and said the welcoming nature of Scousers is why she always looks forward to meeting her Liverpool fanbase. She said: “The people are friendly, supportive and incredible. It’s just great to be here.”

However, the former Eternal member specified one other thing she loves about coming back as she shared her favourite thing to do in Merseyside. She said: “Am I allowed to say go shopping? There’s really good shopping in Liverpool.”
