Milton Keynes grassroots football club reflects on successful season with sponsorship opportunities now open – MKFM 106.3FMNew Bradwell St Peter FC

New Bradwell St Peter FC is reflecting on its football season and actively looking for sponsors in a bid to make the teams ‘dreams come true’.

Jordan Clarke, the First Team Assistant Manager, told MKFM: “Reflecting on the 22/23 season, and what a season it was for the Petes! With lots of new faces at the club, the main aim for the season was to integrate the new men’s team which had moved over from a local north bucks team alongside the ladies team who had also done the same. What unfolded far exceeded all of our expectations.”

The men’s team managed to finish second in the league to the well established and decent local rivals Old Bradwell.

Along the way, the club managed to knockout division 1 outfit Ampthill with a 3-0 win at home and they were rewarded with a visit to the eventual premier league winners Leighton Town where they gave an excellent account of themselves in a 2-0 loss.

Meanwhile, the ladies managed to go 10 games unbeaten at the start of the season and went into the semi finals of the county cup where they bowed out gracefully against Tilehurst in a 3-2 loss.

However, the success didn’t end there for the ladies, a 3rd place finish meant they were promoted to the East Midlands regional division 1 league where they’ll come up against the likes of Leicester city ladies.

The club committee says it has engaged in positive talks with the men’s league officials regarding meeting ground grading and over the course of the next season, they will be looking to get the work done which will allow the men’s team to return to the division above, which is where the First Team Assistant Manager says a club with this history belongs.

On the pitch, it will be over to Jamie burrows and Jordan Clarke (first team manager and assistant manager respectively) to ensure they get the get the job done- a challenge that they will certainly relish.

To aide the first team, Mark Coltman will be hanging up the boots to run the development team who will compete in the Bedfordshire County league which means further support for the first team and a need to bring in more players which can only be seen as a good thing.

Positivity oozes from the New Bradwell Sports Club, a place that opens its doors to all.

Everyone is welcomed into a fantastic family atmosphere and anyone looking for their fix of local football can head down to watch.

Equally, as the club look to make ground improvements and expand their network, they are actively looking for new sponsors to jump aboard the steam train towards even better times.

With the potential for boards around the ground and exposure via the club’s growing social media platforms, it’s something the club are hopeful that local businesses will be looking to get involved with.

“We are a club with passion and excellence and want the sponsorship to support the club in reaching their dreams of going up,” a spokesperson told MKFM.
