Party on deck – hospitality packages for Tall Ships Hartlepool available

Organisers of The Tall Ships Races Hartlepool 2023 are offering incredibly rare packages to party on deck at this summer’s showpiece event.

More than 40 ships from around the world will be heading to Hartlepool Marina between July 6-9 when thousands of people are expected to visit.

A range of hospitality packages have been launched to offer businesses, groups or family and friends the chance to get on board and enjoy the entertainment.

North-East indie band Maximo Park and Grammy-nominated The Wailers of Bob Marley fame will be among those performing on the X-energy stage.

Guy Wimpory, sponsorship and ship hospitality manager at The Tall Ships Races Hartlepool, said: “This is an incredible opportunity to join other companies on board and enjoy a meal, drink and, for some, a great spot by the main stage and headline acts.

“It’s an ideal opportunity to spend time with clients or even treat your staff. One or two ships are located close to the X-energy Stage where you will be able to watch the full music line up including the headline performance from indie rock band, Maximo Park.

“We also have ‘shared ship’ ticketed options there where you can join in with other corporate groups on one of the majestic visiting ships.

“Given how rare it is that the Tall Ships Races head to Hartlepool and the North-East, this really is a chance to eat, drink and party somewhere you may never experience again.”

There are a small number of corporate deck parties on board some of the fantastic tall ships for Friday, July 7, starting from 7pm for Maximo Park. Then further opportunities the following evening for The Wailers.

Other ship locations put you in the heart of the sights and sounds of the event, many affording a view of the fireworks.

Walk the Plank, one of the UK’s leading outdoor arts companies, will present The Tower of Light in Hartlepool too.

There will be a display of pyrotechnics, performance, and music during The Tall Ships Races Hartlepool 2023 at 10.20pm on the Friday followed by a spectacular fireworks display on the Saturday.

Other hospitality packages on the Tall Ships are available on afternoons or evenings and include a meal and welcome drink. Additional drinks packages can be added to suit.

Shared ship options are priced £111 + VAT per person and a minimum of two tickets must be purchased.

Or you may want to host your own deck private and exclusive deck party on one of the fascinating tall ships.

In this case a group of 20 people is priced £5,160 plus vat, or for a group of 50 it is £6,650 plus vat.

Bigger groups are fine also, 200 people on one of the big ships is not a problem.

If hospitality isn’t for you then there are still other opportunities for businesses to get involved in from event stands through to event branding and sponsorship.

The Tall Ships Races Hartlepool will be one of the biggest free events in the UK this year when Hartlepool Waterfront is expected to attract visitors from across the region and beyond.

There are four days of live music, entertainment, dance, and family fun planned – as well as the sight of some of the most beautiful ships around.

More than 50 live music and entertainment acts will be performing when seafarers from as far afield as Uruguay and Indonesia will mix with locals.
