Princess Mary of Denmark is elegant as she visits a new hospital in Copenhagen

The Crown Princess of Denmark put on a stylish display in neutral tones as she visited a new hospital in Copenhagen today.

Mary, 51, toured the Mary Elizabeth hospital’s construction site in the Danish capital and met with its future patients.

The new hospital, which is named after the royal, focuses on children’s health as well as teenagers and pregnant mothers. It is still under construction, and should be ready for purpose in 2026.

For the occasion, the mother-of-four donned a very elegant pair of beige wide-legged trousers with an off-white linen blouse, which was cinched at the waist to add some sartorial flair to the outfit.

Mary paired the look with a favourite pair of tan swede heels, but forwent a bag, keeping the look minimal and practical.

Her brown locks were styled in a wavy blow-dry that cascaded down her right shoulder.

The Crown Princess, known for her elegant sense of style, opted for a minimal glowy makeup look. Some highlights and a dash of bronze complimented her dewy complexion, and a touch of mascara brought definition to her lashes.

She completed the understated look with a pink lip and a pair of pendant pearl earrings.

The royal was all smiles as she toured the construction site and learned of the team’s progress.

The hospital’s foundation was laid last spring, and the institution won’t open for another three years, but Mary has taken a keen interest in the project.

Today she met with its architect, Stig Vesterager Gothelf, who talked her through the building’s main points, including a play area that will play a huge part in the well-being of its young patient, the Righospitalet’s website read.

She also watched local children draw and play in one of the site’s common areas.

It has been a busy couple of days for Mary, who last week attended the wedding of Crown Prince Hussein of Jordan in Amman with her husband Crown Prince Frederik.

The mother-of-four opted for an elegant white gown with a dotted blue hem and a floral pattern on the bust and skirt for the occasion.

The Danish couple and several other foreign dignitaries, including the Prince and Princess of Wales and Princess Beatrice and Edo Mapelli Mozzi appeared overjoyed as they watched the nuptials of Sandhurst graduate Hussein and Saudi Arabian-born architect Rajwa, also 28, in the garden of the Zahran Palace last week.

Rajwa dazzled in a white gown by Lebanese designer Elie Saab, which featured a lengthy train embroidered with flowers, and a sparkling diamond tiara.

King Abdullah II and Queen Rania of Jordan proudly watched as their son was wed during an Islamic ceremony known as a ‘katb ktab’ held in a gazebo and conducted by the Royal Hashemite Court Imam Dr Ahmed Al Khalaileh.
