Beloved husband of the late Vera, a loving father to Averil, a special pops to Charlotte, Niya, Zari and Anny Vera, father-in-law to Will and a dear friend to many. A service to celebrate Bill’s life will be held at St Peter’s Church, Ireleth on Friday June 2 at 11:00am followed by burial in Ireleth Cemetery. BRAKEWELL Kevin Nora and Ian, would like to thank all the family, friends, Kev’s old work mates and neighbours for their kind condolence messages, flowers and support. Kev fought Cancer with courage, dignity, independence and humour, thank you to all who helped Kevin do this. Much gratitude also to Stuart Jackson (Jacko) for all his kind words at the ceremony, it was the perfect way to celebrate Kev’s life. Lastly thanks to Paul, Pam and all staff at Little and Caine who helped Kev plan his inevitable final journey, it went exactly the way Kev wanted.

BARRASS Jean Jean Barrass born November 7 1937 in Manchester, passed peacefully on May 18 2023 with family by her side at St George’s Care Home, Millom. Loving mother (David & Mathew and Farzana, daughter-in-law), grandmother (Kameela, Sarina, Hana & Adam) and sister (Tina). Predeceased by brothers Arthur and Fred, sisters Blanche and Jessie. A dedicated employee of Tesco as North West Security Manager and a hard working independent retailer and merchandiser. A dutiful caring contributor to the Millom community for many years in various charitable volunteer roles. She will be dearly missed and always in our hearts. ‘Celebration of Life’ Service – Monday June 5 2023, 11am at the Salvation Army Millom Corps (Nelson St, Millom; LA184DW).
