Seminar offers insight for success in a storm

Seminar offers insight for success in a storm

After the success of an expert seminar on business success held earlier this month a repeat performance is being staged next Thursday.

And businesses seeking insight on how to survive and prosper amid economic challenges are invited to take a seat.

The “Organisational Resilience is key to Success” seminar costs £85 and takes place at 8.30am to 11am at Randall & Payne’s offices on Shurdington Road (see full details below). It is jointly presented by the expert panel of Randall & Payne’s Will Abbott, Willans Solicitors’ Matthew Clayton and Gemma Irvine of HR People Support.

Mr Clayton said: “In today’s ever-evolving business landscape, adaptability and the ability to weather storms are crucial for long-term success. Businesses face numerous challenges, ranging from economic downturns and technological disruptions to unforeseen crises like pandemics and natural disasters.”

The session aims to deliver invaluable insights and strategies to help businesses not only survive but also flourish in the face of adversity, he added.

Building a foundation for success includes such elements as anticipating and managing risks. For this, the seminar highlights the significance of proactively identifying potential risks and challenges that could impact business operations.

“Understanding the importance of risk management can protect the organisation from disruptions and maintain operational continuity.”

Other aspects include achieving agility in a dynamic environment, embracing change, exploring innovative solutions and adapting to market trends, while the importance of empowering employees is also addressed.

“By investing in the growth and development of employees, businesses can create a resilient workforce that can adapt and navigate challenges efficiently.”

HR specifics focus on considering the individual’s ability (or inability) to deal with change, and how the combination of their beliefs, perceptions, and attitude, might manifest themselves in terms of mental health or disability.

Ms Irvine said: “We’ll look at how the employer navigates this from a legal perspective and will cover adjustments for disabilities, discrimination, ill health absence and grievances.”

Enhancing customer trust will also be a focus, to help businesses build stronger customer relationships.

Will Abbott added: “Attending this seminar will equip businesses with the knowledge and strategies needed to navigate through challenging times effectively. No single disaster recovery plan can deal with everything, but you can avoid the longer-term ‘creeping’ disaster. Delegates need to plan less ‘what’ to do, rather ‘how’ to do it – with systems and processes in place for navigating change.
