Sheffield’s Rock N Roll Circus Confirms Gatecrasher Line-Up For Huge September Show

Sheffield’s Rock N Roll Circus Confirms Gatecrasher Line-Up For Huge September Show

The globally acclaimed DJ and audio architect Ferry Corsten will join a string of high-profile artists to bring Sheffield’s first-ever Rock N Roll Circus to a close.

Taking place on Sunday 3rd September at Don Valley Bowl the Gatecrasher legend – Corsten – will return to Don Valley for a triumphant trance homecoming on ground the Holland-born star knows all too well.

The all-day Sunday event will no doubt be an irresistible potion of nostalgia for fans of Gatecrasher, which will also see performances from ilan Bluestone as well as Ruben de RondeMark V, Sander van Doorn and the Gatecrasher Classical orchestra will also return.

Speaking ahead of today’s announcement Gatecrasher’s Simon Raine, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to be working with Rock N Roll Circus and we can’t wait to get back out there.  Putting on a show of this size in the birthplace of Gatecrasher means a lot and doing it at Don Valley Bowl will be extra special.

“We’ll be featuring DJ legends of the game on that stage and I know our fans, both old and new, won’t be disappointed with what we’ve got planned with our new friends at Rock N Roll Circus.”

Hailing from Rotterdam, The Netherlands, Ferry Corsten’s illustrious career is exemplified by a passion for music as he continues to push the boundaries of all things electronic.

This is exemplified by Ferry Corsten’ recently released ambient album, ‘As Above So Below’ under his FERR By Ferry Corsten alias, a personal project which allowed him to further explore his love for orchestral music that evolved from his long-running Stillpoint playlist.

Walking the fine line of trance, house and progressive, we find Dutch DJ and producer Ruben de Ronde right in the middle of all things. No borders can stop this talent from touching the very edge of different styles, from the trancy ‘Forever In Our Hearts’ to the deeper, arousing progressive ‘Grands Boulevards’ and big room tech track ‘Stoer’.

Marco V is a definitive DJ and producer who has worked hard to create a sound easily recognisable by its constant drive and uplifting melodies. Marco’s talent behind the decks, production repertoire and ability to read a crowd have seen him take his tech-driven sound to some of the biggest events and clubs around the world.

Since bursting onto Anjunabeats with his debut solo release back in 2012, London-based producer ilan Bluestone’s whirlwind journey through the international dance music scene has been nothing short of monumental. With a string of recent hits such as ‘Paid For Love’, ‘Stranger To Your Love’ and ‘Rule The World’, he now has an impressive array of career live performances at prestigious venues including New York’s Madison Square Garde and London’s Wembley Arena.

Having made his debut in the world-renowned DJ Mag Top 100 at 32 in 2006, before climbing 19 places to No.13 in 2008’s poll; sandwiched between Carl Cox and Paul Oakenfold, the fast rise of Sander van Doorn is a testament to his raw talent and dedication. In just seven years he’s clocked up more dance floor destroyers, sold-out gigs and awards than most artists do in a lifetime.

Rock N Roll Circus is a three-day live music event taking place at Don Valley Bowl in Sheffield between 1-3 September. It will feature, amongst other artists, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Self Esteem and Gatecrasher.
