Foster made a U-turn on his retirement and joined the Red Dragons on a short-term deal in March. As the goalkeeper confirmed a few days back, he signed for the club in return for pennies. Foster worked his magic by saving an enormous penalty, helping the club get a promotion to League Two. Recently he was on The Fellas Podcast, where he talked about the clubs’ chances in League Two next season.

Foster said, “I think we will do alright. Like I said, that first day of training, when I got to see them, I thought, ‘Oh! Shoot, there’s no way you’re in the National League.’” “First of all, I thought you could do alright in League One or maybe even in Championship you’d hold around,” he added.

“Wrexham last season beat Coventry in the FA Cup. They held Sheffield United at home to a draw, and they only narrowly lost in the reverse fixture. So, they know how to play these sorts of players, and they would step up their game when they need to. I’ve already seen a stat where Wrexham are favorite to get promoted,” the former United goalkeeper detailed the reasons behind his claim.
