Who is Graham Carr?

Graham Carr was born on October 25, 1944, in Corbridge, England.

He is a former professional footballer, football manager and scout.

Throughout his coaching career, Graham has worked with players from many different teams.

His first gig was as a player-manager at Dartford, which he left briefly to play for Tonbridge and Weymouth.

He was then appointed as player-manager at Weymouth in January 1977.

In 1978 he resigned from Weymouth to manage Dartford and then Nuneaton Borough until 1985.

Graham became manager of his home club Northampton Town from 1985 to 1990.

He also managed Blackpool FC, Maidstone United and Kettering Town during his managerial career.

Graham also worked as a football scout, building a good name for himself as a scout for Tottenham Hotspur.

In 2010 he left Hotspur and joined Newcastle United as their chief scout.

In April 2010 Newcastle was promoted back into the Premier League, with Carr central to signing players from the French, Dutch and German Leagues.

The scouted players helped to improve the club’s performance, and they finished fifth in the Premier League in the 2011/12 season.

In August 2017, Graham left Newcastle and returned to Northampton Town as an associate director.

What football clubs did Graham Carr play for?

During his senior career, Graham played for quite a few teams from 1962 until 1970.

He joined his first professional team, Northampton Town, in August 1962.

He rose up to become captain of the reserves team before being promoted to the first team.

Graham moved to York City in 1968, later to Bradford Park Avenue in 1969 where he played regularly in their final Football League season.

After his time at Bradford, he moved to non-league football, playing for Altrincham and Telford United.

He won an FA Trophy winners medal with Telford United in 1971.

He also played for Poole Town and Dartford.

He won the Southern League and an FA Trophy and a runners-up medal in 1974 with Dartford.

Is Graham Carr married and how many children does he have?

Graham and his partner Christine had two children together. They had two sons, Gary and Alan.

Their eldest son is the famous and beloved British comedian Alan Carr.
