Channel Seven has announced the launch date of the new season of Dancing With the Stars.
The new series is set to premiere on Sunday June 18 on the network.
Home and Away’s Emily Weir, former MasterChef judge Matt Preston and former Bachelor star Laura Byrne lead the celebrities who will compete for the glittering mirror ball trophy this year.
The cast also includes Olympic champions Sally Pearson and James Magnussen and Better and Homes and Gardens star Charlie Albone.
Muriel’s Wedding The Musical star Christie Whelan-Browne, comedian Mary Coustas, and Wentworth actress Pia Miranda will also take to the dance floor this season.
Completing the cast are actress Virginnia Gay, from the classic soap All Saints and singer Paulini and Human Nature’s Phil Burton.
Daryl Somers and Sonia Kruger will once again host the toe-tapping action.
Meanwhile, the celebrities will have their dance floor skills judged by a panel of judges including former drag queen star Craig Revel Horwood.
Known as a judge on the BBC reality series Strictly Come Dancing, the Australian born Horwood, 58, has appeared as a judge on the Aussie version DWTS since 2019.
Judges Sharna Burgess and Todd McKenney will also be back this season.
Host Sonia Kruger, meanwhile, teased new changes to the DWTS format during an interview with The Morning Show’s Larry Emdur and Kylie Gillies.
It comes after recent rumours that Sonia might be getting set to join the cast of the Real Housewives of Sydney.
The blonde beauty is said to have caught the eye of Bravo boss Andy Cohen while he was in Australia for WorldPride.
Cohen is the executive producer of all ten Real Housewives franchises, while the Australian version is produced by Matchbox Entertainment and is aired on Foxtel.
The Watch What Happens Live! host appeared to bond with The Voice and Dancing With The Stars star while they were at an event to launch Channel Seven’s new channel 7Bravo, according to Woman’s Day.
