Maresca’s hidden quality revealed
European football expert Guillem Balague has told Leicester City fans what they can expect from new manager Enzo Maresca.
Journalist Balague is well-connected in football and has a good knowledge of Maresca’s coaching style, perhaps through his close ties with Pep Guardiola and other Spanish staff at Manchester City.
He praised City’s appointment of Maresca, and outlined why he thinks the coach is a perfect fit for Leicester. Balague has said what to expect of Maresca, but also how the club can get the best out of him.

Maddison makes Leicester admission
James Maddison has addressed speculation over his Leicester City future saying that he has “put the blinkers on.”
The Foxes playmaker has been heavily linked with a move away from the King Power Stadium this summer after City’s relegation from the Premier League. Maddison has been linked with a move to Tottenham and Newcastle.
He is currently on international duty with England and played well on Friday night as the Three Lions won 4-0 against Malta in their Euro 2024 qualifier. The 26-year-old started and played a role in goals two and three for Gareth Southgate’s side.

Juventus ‘negotiating’ Leicester transfer
Juventus are “negotiating” with Leicester City for defender Timothy Castagne, it has been claimed.
The Italian giants are said to have “held contacts” with City over a deal for the versatile full-back, who looks set to move on this summer after relegation to the Championship.
According to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Leicester want €15million (£12.8m) for Castagne, with Juventus reportedly confident they can negotiate the price tag down.

Potential assistant manager candidates
New Leicester City manager Enzo Maresca will be getting straight down to work this summer, with plenty of players to be coming and going over the next few weeks.
There are exciting times ahead for City, who have gone for a somewhat left-field appointment in Maresca, although the situation will be something of an unknown heading into the Championship season.
So far, Maresca has arrived at Leicester alone, with no new backroom staff members announced by the club. It is likely Maresca will hire an assistant at the very least, with Adam Sadler, Mike Stowell and Lars Knudsen the only remaining first-team coaching staff.
