Kettering beauty salon with over 30 million TikTok views is Muddy Stilettos finalist

A Kettering beauty salon which has had over 30 million views on one of their TikTok videos is a Muddy Stilettos finalist. Kolaine Beauty Lounge, on Glendon Lodge Farm, was founded by Kolaine Waterfield in 2015.

Since then the firm has won several prizes, despite the threat of the Covid-19 pandemic threatening her business. Now they are up for the Best Beauty Salon award for Northamptonshire in the Muddy Stilettos regional finals.

Kolaine, said her “home from home” has gone from “strength to strength” since she went solo after being a a co-director at a previous salon for seven years. She said: “After a really difficult four years with Covid it is absolutely incredible to have been shortlisted as a finalist in the Muddy Stilettos awards.

“We have worked so so hard to keep the business going through such a difficult time. I couldn’t be prouder of the achievements of my incredible team.

“I think it’s important to have confidence in anything you do and no matter what it is, I’m going to give it 100 per cent. This year there has been some exceptionally talented salons in the finals, but I have confidence in my business and my team. Hopefully, we have done enough to be crowned the winners.”

During lockdowns, Kolaine set up an online shop to help the business along with holding self-care Facebook Live broadcasts to support locals unable to leave their homes during the pandemic. Over the last six months, her account called “Kolaine Advanced Skin“ on TikTok has also seen an extraordinary amount of growth – with a whopping 30 million views on one of her videos.
