Marley Warner, of Shelley Rise, Farnborough, assaulted police constables Matthew Sard, Anthony Coates, Alexandra Collier and David Catchpole on February 20.

On February 21, at the North Police Investigation Centre in Basingstoke he damaged clothing, bedding and mattresses by “carrying out a dirty protest”.

During a hearing at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court, he pleaded guilty to assault by beating of an emergency worker, common assault of an emergency worker, criminal damage to property, and racially / religiously aggravated harassment / alarm / distress by words / writing.

The 28-year-old was given an eight-week prison sentence suspended for 24 months because magistrates said the incident with the police officers was an “unprovoked attack of a serious nature”.

He must also pay compensation of £25 to each of the police officers and complete up to 40 rehabilitation days.

MAGISTRATES have given a careless driver from Hampshire points on their licence.

Maritez Lines was caught behind the wheel of a Honda Civic, in Park Lane, Old Basing, driving without due care and attention on July 29, 2022.

The 54-year-old, of Lees Lane, Gosport, pleaded guilty to the offence during a hearing at Aldershot Magistrates’ Court.

Lines was given five points on his licence and fined £233. He must also pay £110 court costs and a victim surcharge of £93.

A SOUTHAMPTON man has been fined hundreds of pounds for using a phone while driving on the M3.

Kadir Altunatmaz was spotted on the M3 southbound at Basingstoke driving a Mercedes Sprinter while using his mobile phone on May 25, last year. The 50-year-old was also found to have no insurance.

Altunatmaz, of Bitterne Road, Southampton, pleaded guilty to the offences and at Aldershot Magistrates’ Court he was fined £533 and given six points on his licence.

He must also pay court costs of £110 and a £53 victim surcharge.

A CARELESS driver has been given points on their licence after they were caught in Hook.

Jamil Ahmed was spotted on Bramshill Road driving a Mercedes Benz without due care and attention on May 28, last year.

The 28-year-old pleaded guilty to the offence and during a hearing at Aldershot Magistrates’ Court, Ahmed, of High Wycombe, was fined £466. He was also given five points on his licence.

Ahmed must also pay £110 court costs and a £47 victim surcharge.

A TADLEY man has been banned from getting behind the wheel for 12 months after he was found to be drug driving.

Kevin Spencer, of Odette Gardens, was stopped on Franklin Avenue on January 27, this year, with a proportion of a controlled drug, delta-9-tetrahdrocannabinol, in his blood, of not less than 3.1ug/l. The legal limit is two.

The 48-year-old pleaded guilty to the offence during a hearing at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court.

Along with being disqualified, Spencer was also fined £511 and must pay £85 court costs and £204 victim surcharge.

MAGISTRATES have fined a Basingstoke man after he used threatening / abusive / insulting words / behaviour.

Luke Watson, of Pentland Close, used threatening / abusive / insulting words / behaviour to cause harassment, alarm or distress to two women on February 7, this year.

The 29-year-old pleaded guilty to the offences during a hearing at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court.

He was fined £34.50 and told to pay court costs of £85 and a £28 victim surcharge.
