Penny Lancaster joins Sabrina Elba and Myleene Klass for We Will Rock You gala night
Penny Lancaster, Sabrina Elba and Myleene Klass were among the star-studded arrivals for the gala night of We Will Rock You at the London Coliseum on Wednesday.
Enjoying a low-key date night, the model, 52, was accompanied by her husband, music legend Rod Stewart.
Penny cut a glamorous figure in tight gold trousers, a chic white blouse and a matching blazer as she posed with the rock icon.
Rod was certainly in high spirits as he made his way down the red carpet, and even showed off his dancing skills with Strictly Come Dancing judge Bruno Tonioli.
Sabrina flaunted her famous curves in a slinky yellow satin halterneck dress as she posed up a storm at the event, which also saw stars including Vanessa Feltz and Andrea McLean in attendance.
She kept her brunette tresses in a sleek bobbed style as she arrived for the gala night of the jukebox musical, which is inspired by the music of the iconic British band Queen.
She was joined by presenter Myleene who slipped into a floral satin midi dress teamed with a matching red lip.
The Smooth FM DJ teamed her pretty dress with gold platform heels as she joined her daughter Ava for the show.
On Monday, Queen’s guitarist and music legend Brian May made a surprise appearance on stage during the musical, and he was also in attendance for the show’s gala night.
He enjoyed a reunion with fellow Queen performer Roger Taylor, who was accompanied by his glamorous wife Sarina.
Andrea McLean cut a typically classy figure in a navy satin jumpsuit which featured semi-sheer sleeves.
The TV personality looked radiant as she beamed next to her husband Nick Feeney during the press event.
Businessman Nick cut a casual figure in a white polo t-shirt and beige trousers, as the couple showed off a huge smile for the camera.
Sabrina and Idris met at a party in 2017 and wed in an extravagant ceremony two years later.
The Wire star admitted he fell in love ‘at first sight’ when he saw Sabrina and often talks about how the pair are inseparable.
Despite famously claiming he would never marry again, Idris made a public proposal to Sabrina at a film screening, before tying the knot in Marrakesh in 2019.
The outing comes just weeks after Elba collaborated with British DJ/producer Solardo on a new track entitled Big Talk.
The song was released March 3 through Ultra Records, with the British DJ duo revealing how they met the actor/DJ.
‘We met Idris in Las Vegas back in 2017 where we played back to back at EDC and we hit it off and kept in contact,’ the statement began.
‘We heard Idris on a track and saw him play a few sets, and as we are huge fans, we thought it would be cool to do a track together,’ they added.
‘Overall, it probably took a year or so going back and forth with ideas which were both reflective of our styles,’ they clarified.
It comes after Myleene indignantly claimed that Maria Caulfield, the government’s Minister for Women’s Health, has been ignoring her requests for a meeting.
Myleene, who has had a miscarriage in the past, said wanted to meet in person to discuss a potential rule change to benefit sufferers, but said she’d had no response.
The TV and radio personality took to social media to voice her frustration.
Myleene has stated her desire to change the law in Britain so that women won’t be forced to suffer three miscarriages before becoming eligible for assistance.
She originally tweeted on Tuesday that she was ‘still waiting for a meeting’ in the hope of ‘locking down’ the proposed changes.
Referring to ‘250,000 women (p/a) and their dead babies’, Myleene raged: ‘They all deserve more than a zoom call as currently suggested by you.’
The following morning, she was equally persistent, adding: ‘Morning @mariacaulfield. I have Messaged you (again) requesting an in person meeting with you.
‘You’re the health secretary who won’t meet to discuss women’s health? @_OliviaBlake @tommys @RCObsGyn and I are waiting.’
The emotionally fraught situation is close to Myleene’s heart as she has had four miscarriages herself.
She also had three successful births- daughters Ava, 15, and Hero, 10, plus son Apollo, three, but she vows she’ll never forget the devastating pregnancies she lost.
Myleene touched on the delicate issue with MailOnline and other members of the press during a campaign last year, too.
‘If I disappear off the planet tomorrow, I’ve done my bit,’ she reasoned of her decision to get political.
‘I’ve got beautiful babies and they’re gonna know that I marched to Parliament with the likes of Olivia Blake [MP],’ she explained.
‘We’re changing the law so that no woman will have to hear ‘You’re going to have this experience two more times, three times in total before we look into it,” she vowed.
However, she added: ‘It’s taken forever, as most things do when it comes to government.’
She’d previously admitted on Instagram that her baby loss journey had left her ‘mentally debilitated’, especially when seeing other mums’ success stories online.
Despite her long wait, Myleene – who is hugely popular on her Smooth Radio show – isn’t giving up until she gets miscarriage justice.
