There’s only one man who should be Sheamus’ final WWE opponent

Sheamus has done it all when it comes to his WWE career. A four-time world champion, five-time tag team champion, a Royal Rumble, King of the Ring, and Money in the Bank winner, there isn’t much left for him to accomplish. So who should his final opponent be when The Celtic Warrior eventually hangs up his boots?

The answer is current ROH World Champion Claudio Castagnoli. The Blackpool Combat Club member helped Sheamus win five tag team titles when they were known as The Bar between 2016 and 2019.

The duo was forced to break up due to The Celtic Warrior suffering a concussion and Castagnoli being drafted to a different brand at the same time. But why should the former Cesaro be Sheamus’ final opponent?

Everyone should strive for a friendship like Sheamus and Cesaro (Claudio) 🏽

A beautiful moment.

Quite simply, the chemistry that The Bar had as partners was fantastic. But their chemistry as opponents was arguably better. Just look at their vastly underrated best-of-seven series from 2016 to see how well they worked together.

However, since The Bar disbanded in 2019, fans have finally given The Celtic Warrior his flowers and recognized him as one of the best brawlers WWE has produced in over a decade. His recent matches against Gunther and Drew McIntyre have led people to wonder what a bout between the modern versions of both members of The Bar would look like.

On top of this, Claudio is thriving as a heel in both AEW and ROH and has firmly established himself as one of the finest workers in either of Tony Khan’s promotions. It’s unclear if Castagnoli will ever return to WWE, but if he does, he should only have one match on his mind.

Sheamus recently visited an AEW star’s wrestling school

In an attempt to prepare for his huge WWE Intercontinental Championship match at WrestleMania 39, The Celtic Warrior decided to pay a visit to a wrestling school owned by a current AEW star.

The star in question is QT Marshall, who opened The Nightmare Factory with Cody Rhodes in 2020, which has produced several performers who have gone on to work for AEW.

Fellllllllllaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!! Thank you @WWESheamus for visiting with the camp. Celtic Warrior with amazing insight and was showing the gym a Celtic Warrior Workout /// good luck at #WrestleMania ( also bring back Betty! ) Sign-Up for the next camp nightmarefactoryga.com

Sheamus visited the factory and provided a “Celtic Warrior Workout” to the students in attendance, which must have been helpful for the up-and-coming performers. However, the WWE veteran could not pick up the win at WrestleMania 39.

Who do you think The Celtic Warrior should have his final match against? Let us know in the comments section below.
