Tyler Roberts makes Birmingham City promise in first words after transfer from Leeds United
Tyler Roberts has described Birmingham City as the “perfect fit” as he targeted the play-offs following his transfer from Leeds United.
Blues have snared the Wales international for well under the reported £750,000 figure and he will link up with his new teammates for pre-season training at the end of the week. The 24-year-old striker has penned a four-year contract at St Andrew’s.
In his first interview with club TV cameras, Roberts said: “I’m excited, it was great to get the deal done before pre-season starts. The project that’s going on at the club was something that I was really excited to be a part of. With what’s going on here and where I am in my career, I think it’s the perfect fit.

“I’ve spoken to the gaffer (John Eustace) and it’s all been really positive, I’m hoping I can bring my experiences and the quality I have into the team.
“Climbing the table is definitely the biggest goal, with what’s going on at the club I don’t see why we can’t climb and even target play-offs. Personally, I’m targeting double digits for goals, so that I can help the team as much as I can.
“I’ve played at St Andrew’s a few times before in my career so I know it’s a great stadium with really passionate fans, so I’m hoping we can create some special memories and share some great moments together.”
