He played for Charlton and Queens Park Rangers before moving to Aldershot Town. He then enrolled at Durham University, and later Oxford University where he displayed his first-class skills and won a prestigious “blue”.

Chris Hollins began his media career at Channel One TV in London, a television station owned and operated by Associated Newspapers. In 1994, he moved to Sky Sports, then spent time at GMTV Meridian and Five TV.

Hollins began contributing to BBC News in 1999 and programs like Grandstand and Football Focus. In October 2005, Hollins took over Rob Bonnet’s role as part of the BBC Breakfast Team.

Hollins hosted the BBC Breakfast show Mondays through Thursdays, until his last appearance on March 21, 2012, as the primary presenter of sports. He filled in frequently for Bill Turnbull, the main presenter of the show during the week despite his decision not to move to Salford. Hollins covered the 2002 World Cup held in Japan, 2010 World Cup and The Masters Golf Tournament in America in 2007

Strictly Come Dancing

Chris Hollins won the 2009 Strictly Come Dancing series, partnering up with Ola Jordan. He won the final over Ricky Whittle,[1] consistently winning the public vote even though he lost the judges’ vote by a narrow margin of 190 to 186. Hollins & Jordan were the only couple in the competition who never faced the “Dance Off.”
